ARTWORK FAQs

For the best possible results with your awards, we ask that you provide your artwork in vector format.  Typical vector file types include: .pdf, .eps, .ai, .cdr, and .svg.

If providing vector artwork is not possible, please provide the highest resolution raster file you have available.  Typical raster file types include:  .jpg, .psd .png .bmp, and .bmp. A raster image with a resolution lower than 300 DPI will require recreation in vector format. Depending on the complexity of the artwork this may require a design charge of $55/hour billable in 15 minute increments.

Vector artwork is created using mathematical points, lines, and curves that allow images to be enlarged with no loss in quality.

Raster images are composed of dots of color called pixels.  If a raster image needs to be enlarged, the pixels are stretched and the image becomes blurry, or pixelated.  Raster images often look fine on your computer screen but result in a low quality print if the resolution is below 300 DPI when resized.
